Numerology · the music of repetition
Numbers can be another mirror.
Your date of birth and the letters of your name can be reduced to a small set of symbolic numbers. Used lightly, they offer another language for noticing patterns. Used rigidly, they become another cage.
Your numbers will appear here
The life path comes from your full date of birth. The name number uses the Pythagorean letter values. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept rather than reduced.
How the numbers are calculated
The life path adds every digit of your full birth date and reduces the total to a single digit, keeping the master numbers 11, 22 and 33. The birthday number is simply the day you were born, reduced. The name number uses the Pythagorean letter values from A = 1 to I = 9, repeating across the alphabet.
Different numerology traditions disagree about names, master numbers and how to reduce. That is one reason to hold the result lightly. There is no single authoritative system.
